Case study
Uplyfted has proudly delivered renewed modular carpet for ateb, in Pembrokeshire, bringing ultra-low carbon flooring to over 35 properties, ensuring carpets with a reduced carbon footprint.
Housing Associations in Wales were mandated by the Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS), from April 2024, to include floor coverings in new lets.
Ateb went above and beyond to secure significant savings in carbon emissions – procuring their way towards Net Zero. Smart, right?
On average, all 23 properties accounted for 0.58 kg of CO2e per m2. That’s 94% less than the carbon footprint of new modular carpet, which averages 9kg of CO2e per m2.
Yes, a 94% reduction. Meaning ateb’s housing stock’s embodied carbon stays low, whilst delivering social value to their customers.
