People Minilab Series: Getting Started – From Vision to First Steps
This mini programme is a live, responsive minilab series shaped by the issues people are raising right now addressing real pressures, real frustrations and real opportunities.
Across three highly interactive sessions, we’ll create space to surface what’s could be getting in the way of doing great work, reframe those challenges as fuel for change, and move together out of ‘stuckness’ into momentum.
This series is for people who want practical ways to think differently, test ideas and start shifting how work actually gets done.
You are invited to bring questions, tensions, half-formed ideas, and a willingness to explore them openly with peers.
Session Overview:
We’ll work with live examples from participants to identify small, symbolic and strategic moves that can start to shift how work gets done in your organisation. The focus is on progress not perfection and the principle of “think big, start small, go fast”.
In this session we will:
- Translate dissatisfaction and vision into concrete, near-term experiments
- Explore how to create safe-to-try prototypes in people, culture and work design
- Identify allies, sponsors and conditions that help change take root
- Use Beckhard’s “F” (First Steps) to reduce resistance and build confidence
You’ll leave with:
- 1–3 specific actions or experiments you can start within the next few weeks
- A simple way to frame and socialise these ideas with colleagues and leaders
- A practical model you can use again with your own teams to unlock change
