About our speaker

Mike Todasco is a technology leader, writer, and innovation expert best known for his role as Senior Director of Innovation at PayPal, where he led efforts to increase creativity and drive new product development across the company. He joined PayPal in 2011, holding a variety of roles in product analytics, product marketing, product management, and product launch before ultimately heading the Innovation Lab. In this capacity, he oversaw the creation of PayPal’s first Innovation Labs in Silicon Valley, Bengaluru, and Chennai, and championed emerging technologies such as voice, augmented reality, blockchain, and robotics. Todasco is credited with significantly expanding PayPal’s innovation programs and holds over 100 US patents.

After leaving PayPal in 2022, Todasco became a Visiting Fellow at the James Silberrad Brown Center for Artificial Intelligence at San Diego State University, where he focuses on the impact of AI on creativity and business. He is also an advisor and prolific writer on topics at the intersection of AI, innovation, and organizational culture. Todasco holds an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois
