One of the highlights of our leadership 2022 study tour to Seattle was our experience hearing about the Microsoft culture transformation story with the brilliant Irada Sadykhova, Senior Director of Organisational Design at Microsoft HQ
In particular there were a couple of issues which resonated which should be of interest to DIN members. Firstly how they managed this when moving from one CEO who was very sales focussed, to a new one who was very customer experience focussed all whilst delivering business as usual. And secondly how they knew that to achieve this they had to completely change organisational design and how they worked.

On the foundation of Growth Mindset, the company has been working on developing Customer Obsessed, Diverse and Inclusive, and One Microsoft behaviours, mindsets, and practices. In this session, you will hear about the top 10 things we have learned about positive culture evolution from its inception in 2014. The outline of the talk includes:

• 10 learnings about activating culture change, with examples of individual solutions and programs to activate change

The session will be a mixture of presentation, interview and audience conversation.
About our speaker
Microsoft Corporation, Senior Director of Organization Development
Irada Sadykhova is the Senior Director of Organization Development (OD) at Microsoft since 2005. After spending a decade in engineering, Irada has led culture transformation efforts across the company and recently shifted her focus to work with Microsoft customers and partners. Additionally, Irada provides OD consultations and benchmarking with primary focus on furthering culture, executive leadership, and complex change. Prior to Microsoft, Irada has been in leadership roles across sales, marketing, IT and HR for the Cendant companies. Her early work experiences were in academia, as a researcher and a professor at St. Petersburg State University, Russia.
