Learning the lessons: RBH and the damp & mould failure
Most of you working in social housing, and most likely beyond, will be familiar with the tragedy resulting in the little boy Awaab Ishak losing his life with the damp and mould in his home being a major contributory factor.
With the introduction of Awaab's law coming into force there are implications for all landlords and preparations need to begin now to ensure you are ready for it.
Nadhia Khan works for RBH and attended every day of the inquest and has a unique perspective on what went wrong, why and what other landlords need to be alert to in order to avoid something like this happening ever again.
