This two-day event is packed with innovative and practical content that reflects the very challenging circumstances we currently face, in a range of formats to put you as a housing professional at the heart of the experience - and in control of what and how you learn.
Our exciting new online platform gives you lots of opportunities to participate; to listen, question, share, learn and real-time network with speakers and fellow professionals.
We haven’t just taken a traditional conference programme and dropped this online – that wouldn’t provide the delegate experience you’ve told us you’re after. Instead we’re offering you ways of engaging and sharing ideas that have never been tried in the housing sector before.
Over the two days we’ll tackle two main themes.

- Rebooting housing - what comes next
Expert, engaging speakers will stimulate discussions about:
- The impact on policy and delivery

Sessions have been selected to focus on the topics that you’ve told us that you want to hear about in the current climate; and as you’d expect from us and the CIH, there’s a great line-up of innovative and inspiring speakers from across the sector and beyond, including big names from disruptor sectors.
You can select what sessions work for you, building an entirely personal experience and programme of learning. You can drop in and out, and no two sessions will be running simultaneously, meaning you can take in every bit of the summit you want.
We’ll also record all the sessions, so you can catch up on anything that you had to miss at a time that better suits you.
What can you expect at the virtual summit?
The event layout allows you to virtually sit with other delegates, interacting in real time, providing a very real human connection.
On arrival at the summit, you’ll enter the Networking Lounge, a virtual space with a main stage and tables of six delegates. Select a table. Here you’ll all start your summit journey; getting to know each other, starting to share ideas and knowledge. Each table uses video, audio and chat to allow you to interact naturally in real time. You can move around the tables to make new contacts or reconnect with fellow housing professional and share ideas, all the while getting the full benefit of the presentations from the main stage.
Of course we’ll have all the tried-and-tested elements such as:
- Keynote addresses
- Leadership panels
- Breakout sessions
Sessions will use a range of interactive tools. There will be plenty of opportunities to get involved, with our ‘raise your hand’ feature whiteboards, live chat and the opportunity to ask questions and share your own thoughts as if you were in the room. But if you’d rather just listen, that’s OK as well.
Back in the Networking Lounge, we’ll be bringing you the opportunity to have discussion-led groups via table video chats. There’s even a whiteboard for you to write down your collective ideas.
